The Blaufränkisch from the esteemed Reihburg vineyard on the Eisenberg is a prized rarity. Uwe Schiefer deliberately releases these wines late to allow them ample time to evolve. What you find in the glass is simply world-class!

This magnificent wine immediately showcases the greatness of both the grape variety and the region, elevated by the winemaker's skill. The 45-60-year-old vines from the renowned "Reihburg" vineyard express their terroir and minerality with precision. After aging for 36 months in small barrique barrels followed by further maturation in the bottle, the oak influence is perfectly integrated. Velvety tannins gently caress the palate. Radiant, vibrant minerality intertwines with dark fruit and characteristic spiciness. The lingering finish seems to last for minutes, a testament to its exceptional quality. This wine can easily be stored in a cellar for at least another 20 years.
