Description

The esteemed champagne house Roederer has once again astonished connoisseurs with their Collection 243!

Named for the 243rd harvest in the house's history, this blend comprises 56% of the 2018 vintage. The reserve wines, matured in wooden barrels, hail from the 2009, 2011, 2013, 2014, 2015, and 2017 vintages, as noted on the back label. This careful selection results in a Brut champagne with an 8g dosage of residual sweetness, creating a truly unique profile.

The ageing in French oak barrels imparts complexity, a delicate creaminess, and incredible elegance to this champagne, qualities highly appreciated by the world's leading wine critics. Decanter awarded it 97 points, and James Suckling gave it 94 points—remarkably high honours for champagne in this price range and well-deserved in our opinion.

The nose is harmonious, with aromas of yellow apples, peaches, and delicate vanilla. On the palate, its elegance is unparalleled. Very fine, almost silky bubbles glide effortlessly, complemented by subtle yeasty notes reminiscent of almonds and brioche. The finish is fresh and savoury, with tantalizing hints of grapefruit.

Overall, it offers a cinematic experience for the palate! Perfect for any family celebration, it also pairs splendidly with oysters, seafood, or mild cheese.
