Weingut St.Zehetbauer Cabernet Franc Ried Steinberg 2017

This wine is the flagship of Weingut Zehetbauer in the Leitha Mountains!

This French red wine varietal is seldom grown in Austria. In Bordeaux, however, the grape is highly valued and often blended with really great red wines. The Zehetbauer family has been growing this single-variety wine on the excellent Steinberg site for over 30 years. Nationally and internationally, it is very well received by wine lovers and critics.

After 12 months in new French barriques, the wine is allowed to mature for another 12 months in stainless steel tanks. To balance it out, there is additional bottle ageing of up to 12 months. Now it presents itself with the typical flavour. Dark, aromatic with a dense structure and firm tannins. The wood is well integrated. Every sip tastes a bit like the scent of a fir forest. In the finale, grab it again and enjoy the juiciness.

Good storage potential of around 15 years. Matches perfectly with steaks, game dishes or simply as an enjoyable companion in front of the fireplace.
