Description
The small town of Rust on Lake Neusiedl is famous for its sweet wines. According to Vinaria, this Beerenauslese from the Welschriesling grape varietal is one of the top 3 Beerenauslese wines in the country. Awarded 94 points by Falstaff and AlaCarte.
Classically matured in steel tanks, the Welschriesling has the necessary acidity to perfectly integrate the sugar content of around 166 g/L. This is what makes this sweet wine so wonderfully balanced and easy to drink. Even those new to the world of fine sweet wines will quickly appreciate it.
The fruity nose dominates with ripe pineapple, tropical fruit and a hint of forest honey. The palate is elegantly fruity with a lively acidity. The residual sugar is well integrated. Varied and concentrated through to the long, smooth finish.
Pairs well with desserts, goat's cream cheese and goose liver.
