Blank Canvas Pinot Noir Settlement 2019, 0,75 L

International wine critics describe this elegant red wine from New Zealand as "outstanding." It hails from a small, single vineyard called Settlement, which spans just 1 hectare and yields only 400 cases, all carefully hand-harvested. The 20-year-old vines are deeply rooted, imparting a significant amount of expression to the wine.

After spending a year in French barrique barrels (35% new), this Pinot Noir was further aged in the bottle. It is now at its ideal drinking maturity and will remain so for the next 5-8 years.

In the glass, it displays a very light, Burgundian red colour. The nose and palate are greeted with intense aromas of violets, ripe cherries, and pomegranate, along with subtle roasted wood and mineral notes of flint. The well-matured tannins enhance every sip, making the wine full-bodied and expressive. This is a Pinot Noir that combines power with finesse.

It pairs wonderfully with lamb, game, or mushroom dishes, but it is also perfect for pure enjoyment on its own.
