Description
The mighty Wechselberg rises on the eastern side of the Strassertal valley and faces south. The terrain consists of weathered crystalline soils of the Bohemian Massif or crystalline slate. The higher altitude of the Wechselberg cools the hot summer air at night which ensures excellent flavour development in the grapes.
A fine, fragrant classic with vegetal spiciness, minty, peppery coolness and ripe stone fruit. Calmly flowing on the palate, infused with fine minerality, perfectly balanced with a full mouth-feel. A beautiful punch in the finish.
Pairs well with strongly seasoned foods but also with fish.
It can easily age for a few more years. But who can resist this fine wine for years on end when it's already so enticing?
