Weingut Walter Glatzer
Austria / Carnuntum / Göttlesbrunn
Walter Glatzer is one of the mainstays of the Carnuntum wine-growing region. The family winery was founded in 1987 and has grown steadily since then. The red wines, especially the "Zweigelt Dornenvogel", are among the best wines for the price in Austria. The St. Laurent Alte Reben was even a Falstaff winner with the 2016 vintage. Their white wines such as Chardonnay, Grüner Veltiner and Pinot Blanc are also increasingly appreciated. Glatzer has been organically certified since the 2018 vintage. "After all, it is only varying character traits that make a good wine" - says the likeable Walter Glatzer.
