Description

The Souvignier Gris is a very fungus-resistant (PIWI) white wine variety that was bred in Germany in 1983 from Sauvignon Blanc and Bronner.

This (still) very rare variety, which has very good storage potential, is mainly found in southern Styria. We were immediately impressed by this dry specimen, which was developed in a steel tank. It's aromas of stone fruit with a slight exotic touch are firm, strong and voluminous on the palate. The finish is slightly nutty, well supported by the typical, refreshing acidity of southern Styria.

A good companion to many hearty dishes and the surprise hit at blind tastings.
