Description

The Golser Spitzenlage "Ungerberg" is one of the warmest vineyards in Austria - and is the perfect home for Merlot. The fabulous 2020 vintage year produced a bold red wine with high ripeness and dark fruit.

Aged for 18 months in barriques (partly new barrels), you get fantastic value for money. Very dark in colour, ripe fruit and distinctive Merlot. The tannins and wood are well integrated and never in the foreground but support the wine perfectly. Ripe cherries, delicate tobacco and fleshy notes create a warm, harmonious mouthfeel. Very long, powerful finish that leaves a hint of mineral in the aftertaste.

A very drinkable wine with an alcohol content of 14.5% ABV. The perfect wine to accompany a steak or a mighty burger.
