Description

The GOLS Rotweincuvée is an ideal representative from this village on Lake Neusiedl and was rightly awarded the Reserve Trophy by A la Carte magazine with 93 points.

the cuvee consists of the local Blaufränkisch and Zweigelt varietals and brings out the best of both varietals. Matured in barrique barrels (1/3 new barrels) and then matured in the bottle in the cellar, this wine is now at drinking maturity. Plus, 2019 was one of the best years for red wines in Burgenland

This classy cuvee has the clear aroma of cherries, dark berries and a special note of cassis. Velvety soft tannins with a fine spicy finish. Slightly smoky, bacon & wood in the background with delicate mineral notes. Juicy, harmonious overall impression through to the excellent, long finish.

Fantastic value for money with ageing potential until at least 2034. But who can resist it now?
