This Tempranillo would easily cost twice as much in the neighbouring Ribera del Duero.

Just a few meters from the Ribera del Duero area, these vineyards stand on limestone and clay soils. The vines are over 60 years old and accordingly have a low yield with natural thinning.

943 metres above sea level - that means warm days and cold nights - is perfect for a great acid structure.

A deep dark wine in the glass that's only slightly lighter on the edge.

On the nose, aromas of dark berries emerge, with a little vanilla and a touch of herbal spice. The first sip makes a good impression: Very dense and almost fleshy on the palate, again with the dark fruit notes, paired with leather and a little vanilla. The wine has a lot of power, lots of tannins but also balance thanks to the fresh acidity. It's a lot of fun and has the potential to impress in a few years!
