Francesco Vaona, his wife Francesca and their family-run this winery in the picturesque Valpolicella hills. If you visit you might think you've landed in a motorcycle workshop; Francesco and his wife are passionate Harley Davidson fans.
The wines of Cantina La Giaretta are simply great, all of them top quality with strength and vibrating acidity. Overall, they embody the new style of Amarone, with a little more wood and power from the use of more barrique. We love both the classic style and what Francesco and his wife create. This winery is definitely one of the top among modern producers.
