The "Mariental" vineyard, one of the top sites in Rust, is known for its barren, calcareous soils on an east-facing slope, with vines up to 70 years old. The special microclimate created by Lake Neusiedl’s reflective waters—double-irradiating the vines with morning sunlight—fosters the ideal conditions for this expressive, intense Blaufränkisch to thrive. The thoughtful, expert use of this unique potential results in wines with unparalleled, long-lasting character.
