Certainly one of the best Grüner Veltliners in Austria and a great representative of the Leithaberg!

Himmelreich (heaven) is the name of the vineyard that Leo Sommer and his colleagues from the Donnerskirchen wine quartet revitalised many years ago. An ancient vineyard, abandoned sometime in the 1950s because the tractors that appeared at the time simply couldn't manage the incline, then forested and accidentally rediscovered while hiking.

Today, you can understand the peculiarity of the wine and vineyard with your feet, hands, nose, eyes and ears. This great Grüner Veltliner was matured in wooden barrels and has so much power and substance that every sip is a huge pleasure. It appears creamy and elegant. There are herbal spices on the nose with exotic hints. Juicy, mineral and complex with fine sweetness on the palate. Lasts in the finish forever and leaves a subtle salty note. Excitement in a glass!

A perfect accompaniment to dishes, but may require a little air. Also has a very long storage potential.
