Leithaberg and Leo Sommer in particular are famous for their very fine, mineral Grüner Veltliner. This young dream wine from the beautiful 2019 vintage has once again totally impressed us. Everyone should have this wine at least once.
Leo gives his wine the necessary time to mature. After 12 months in old traditional wooden barrels, the wine slowly shows its full potential.
Very complex, compact and mineral on the palate. Flavours of fully ripe yellow pear fruit and some herbs. In the finish, there is a slightly salty note, which makes the wine incredibly fresh and elegant. It's impossible not to want a second sip. So multifaceted that we are amazed. And if you can wait, you will still be able to enjoy this fantastic bottle in a few years' time.
Pairs wonderfully with many dishes, especially chicken, traditional Austrian cuisine and asparagus.
