The 2021 vintage of this Riesling was already Vinaria's winning wine in the Riesling up to 12.5% vol. category—and deservedly so! The new vintage is equally impressive.
The Riesling terraces surrounding the village of Zöbing are distinctive. The minerality of the primary rock and Permian soils characterise the classic expression of Zöbing Rieslings. Zöbing gained national fame after the construction of the Heiligenstein Warte at the end of the 19th century.
Unadulterated notes of tangerine float gently over the glass. On the palate, it is clear and bright with ripe citrus flavours and a touch of fully ripe apricot, paired with lively acidity. Concentrated yet lean and juicy, it offers pleasant depth and aromatic freshness in the juicy finish.
This is a crystal-clear, dry Riesling that is well balanced and a prime example of the variety.
