Description

Winner of the gold medal at the PIWI Wine Competition 2022 and winner of the week wine challenge!

PIWI (fungus-resistant) grape varietals are gaining in popularity. This varietal has been authorised as a quality wine in Austria for a few years now. At Weingut Scharl, the "Muscaris" varietal already accounts for 10% of the total vineyard area and is set to increase. Matured dry in stainless steel tanks, this is a rather light, fruity white wine with aromas of herbs, lemon balm and hints of elderflower. Grape-like and fruity on the palate with a juicy taste. Lingers well and invites a second sip. Very clear and pure with an intense nutmeg flavour.

This wine is a true pleasure to drink and the perfect drink to enjoy with friends. Whether solo as an aperitif, as a terrace wine or with light salads and vegetarian dishes.
