Description
A few years ago, the renowned Swiss wine expert Renè Gabriel gave the St. Laurent from the Frauenfeld vineyard at Johanneshof Reinisch the highest historical mark of 19/20 points and described this wine as the best of its kind in the world! The 2019 was also given an unbelievable 94 points by Falstaff!
With its rocky soil, Frauenfeld is one of the best locations in the world for cultivating this grape variety. The grapes come from vines that are at least 40 years old. We find dark ruby garnet and violet reflections in the glass. Delicate nuances of cardamom and pepper, black forest berry jam and fine notes of pipe tobacco. Juicy, red berry fruit, freshly structured, with well-integrated tannins. It's already accessible and easy to drink, and is a versatile accompaniment to dishes including stews and roasts of dark meat, game dishes and aged cheese.

It's all about elegance, balance and finesse: some wild strawberry here, notes of other pleasant berries there, then hints of moss, violets, wet soil, undergrowth... Precise on the palate, with balanced tannins and acidity. Delicious finish, dry and thin.
