Weingut Silvia Heinrich Cupido amour infini 2015

Cupido Blaufränkisch has been available from J. Heinrich since the year 2000. The wine was created as a wedding wine for Silvia and immediately won a Falstaff prize. Since then, it has had cult status and unfortunately is only available in limited quantities and only in the best years (such as 2015). CUPIDO means "desire" in Latin and "amour infini" is "infinite love".

This Blaufränkisch is made from the best barrels in the house and is the culmination of winemaking creativity. It has been given time to mature and express its potential. Each vintage is given the nickname of an artistic masterpiece as an expression of appreciation for this wine. Even the nose is diverse, tempting with roasted coffee, dark berries and cedar wood. After a good 36 months in new French barriques, there's a fine nougat touch on the palate. Juicy, ripe cherries and dark berries, with a dense taste. A firm tannin core testifies to the very long ageing potential.
