Weingut Gesellmann G 2017

The "G" 2017 is once again one of the best red wines in Austria! With an unbelievable 100 AlaCarte points and 98 Falstaff points, the 2017 vintage is one of the greatest.

This red wine Cuvee made from 95% Blaufränkisch and 5% St. Laurent is only brought onto the market in the very best years. The grapes come from the oldest vines of the winery, which are up to 90 years old! After a good 40 months of maturation in new barrique barrels, this wine is still at the beginning of a long journey.

The dark ruby garnet sparkles in the glass. On the nose, experience wild berries, liquorice and notes of precious wood. On the palate, it's full-bodied, dense and youthful. Black cherries, cassis and delicate spices characterise the taste and it has a mineral-salty aftertaste with enormous length.
