The 2022 vintage of the exclusive “Zu Dürnstein” edition received a sensational 92 points from Falstaff!
A beautiful and typical Grüner Veltliner Federspiel from the Kaiserberg vineyard. The deep location with a gradient of up to 73% is right near the Dürnstein ruins. The many hours of sunshine, stony soil and steep terraces provide the perfect conditions for this Grüner Veltliner.
This is a textbook specimen of what a single vineyard Veltliner of this grade should be. Dry, fine, delicately spicy with slight hints of herbs and yellow fruits. The supporting acidity immediately invites a second sip, exuding a full-bodied elegance without appearing pretentious. The memorable finish bears typical Veltliner nuances with hints of citrus.
A versatile wine that pairs well with food in general but particularly well with classic cuisine. Fantastic value for money.
